California-based MSB Technology used the 2012 Munich High End Show to unveil their new, more affordable, digital-to-analogue converter, the Analog DAC.
This product is ultra-slim in appearance but thick on features and benefits:
- 80-Bit Digital Processing
- Femtosecond Clock Technology
- 384 kHz Discrete Ladder DACs
- Optional Analog Volume Control (1 dB steps)
- Separate Analog Power Supplies
The aim was to capture the largest slice of the state-of-the-art Platinum DAC IV range’s performance in a more affordable, non-upgradable package.
Some of the best photo journalistic show coverage comes from Leo Yeh over at www.my-hiend.com and the 2012 Munich High End Show proved to be no exception…
The new MSB Technology Analog DAC and external power supply (top shelf) were partnered with MSB Technology’s Signature Data CD IV with Signature Transport Power Base as well as the Universal Media Player with Platinum Power Base and S200 power amplifier (all in the standard satin black finish with “MSB blue” heat sinks).
On passive display was a “stacked” quartet comprising MSB Technology’s Platinum DAC IV, Signature Data CD IV, Platinum Power Base and Wi-Fi System Interface, all looking rather smart in their standard satin black finish with “MSB blue” heatsinks. One can also see the uniquely-styled MSB Technology Mono 203 power amplifiers in custom all-black finish.
